Cheating — putting two…
This picture was taken in April during a long weekend in Laguna and Orange County. On Sunday (it was Easter Sunday actually), we went to the Mission San Juan Capistrano — famous for its returning swallows.
This picture show the remains of the original mission church which was mostly destroyed in an earthquake. I just like the texture of the stone and mission bells and the way the angles come together.
This picture was taken outside of Santa Fe, New Mexico in the fall. There is a huge aspen grove there, and by the time of year that we happened along almost all of the leaves were down, leaving only the straight trunks behind. At this part, it was so dense, you couldn't even see what was on the "other side".

beautiful photos. :)thanks for sharing – and it's not cheating . . . how can we pick just one!?
Really pretty photos! My friend Amy and I keep saying we need to go down to San Juan Capistrano to see the mission. It's not far and her grandfather lives nearby. I should call and see if she wants to go…sometime after robot building season is over.
Gracias — the Mission was really a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, the grounds are really pretty and going to the exhibits is a good way to get a sense of California history.
