Because I Get Sappy at Christmas

I heard this song for the first time the other day, and it dawned on me that I actually feel this way.  I am happy, healthy, in love and loved completely – realizing the joy of a home I wasn’t sure that I’d ever find.  Sure, there’s work-stuff and regular “life” – but how lucky and blessed I am.

  1. It's been a sad day (for reasons that I haven't blogged about) so thank you for the reminder that in the end it's who you have around you and not circumstances that makes life wonderful.

  2. I second that! If this holiday season should be about anything, it should be about counting our blessings. And great music, of course – I love hearing Winter Wonderland, if it makes you feel any better! ;)

  3. I am so happy for you. Nothing is better than appreciating that your life is very, very, good.
I like the song very much and am happy to say I feel this way too. Sappy & Happy, that's me! :-)

  4. I am so happy for you too! I agree with Maya that holidays, especially Thanksgiving and Christmas, should focus more on our blessings and loved ones rather than the food and gift giving/receiving. Thank you for sharing the song.Have a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year! :)

  5. Thanks for this! I found myself getting stressed this Christmas Eve morning and reading this has given me a chance to pause and be thankful. I'm looking forward to a wonderful time with my family this week and in light of all the blessings, stress and worry really don't stand a chance! Merry Christmas!
