We un-trimmed the house today (which pretty amazingly only took a couple of hours) — which was capped with a pretty funny ride over to the nearby community park with our 11-ft tree (destined to become mulch) bungee'd to the top of the Beloved's car.
No problems except for one wind gust which I think almost picked up the car.
We used a chain saw to chop our xmas tree up and placed in the trash bin.
Wow, what a pretty house!! Palm trees, and in Cali? I'm envious. LOL I bet that nice tree makes driving a challenge. Watch out for low bridges! ;)
Wow, now that's what I call dedicated Christmas tree removal. I don't think I could strap a tree to the roof of a bmw. I'd be too worried about scratches. Paint that car black, and it would look identical to the bmw I used to own. Minus the headlights. Mine was a 2000 323i, whereas yours looks like a 2002 330i??
Well, the nice thing is that the city grinds them up and uses them for mulch in the public areas around town, so thats not so bad. Also, you can't see it, but there's a blanket underneath the tree to help protect the car… :)
You're close — that the Beloved's '04 325xi (she needed the AWD in Santa Fe when it snowed). I've got an '06 325i. You can see em both a little better here.
Oh Maya — graduate school has kept you too busy. I've been fawning about our house for months…. :)
the tree on the beemer–too funny. yay for recycling!
man! i hope you didn't get any scratches! :)
This is the part of Xmas I really don't like – getting rid of the tree. It is soo depressing, they look so forlorn after you take them down. Sigh. It does make me feel better to know that we utilise them here..
That's a priceless picture. Gotta Love it! :)
