What's your favorite time of day and why?
Well, that’s such an easy question, it hardly bears answering. My favorite time of the day is: Happy Hour!!
Tonight, the Beloved is enjoying a zanahorita, and I’m prepared to enjoy a tall, cool tequila sunrise, which I think is an incredibly under-rated drink. It’s also a great, easy drink to make and perfect for summer:
Tequila Sunrise
Fill tall glass with ice:
Add tequila to there (first row of blue dots)
Add orange juice to there (second row of blue dots)
Top with club soda
Mix with spoon, and drizzle in grenadine (or maraschino cherry juice). They heavier syrup will collect at the bottom producing the “sunrise” effect.
Happy Friday!
I love it! And the pictures looks just wonderful.
Stop in for one anytime!!
Steve, you surely do know how to make alcohol look appealing, especially as I have a drink like 2 times a year, its pretty impressive.
That's an awesome glass!I never would have thought to put club soda in a Tequila Sunrise. I've been making the IBA version and don't really like it (although I think that might have more to do with the Tequila), I'm going to have to try it out with soda.
Thanks, Katie! I've kind of adopted a philosophy about having a drink similar to that of good food. It should be made well, from good ingredients and presented attractively.
(Fish) — I love them too! They were like $1/ea from World Market.I like it with club soda for summer — also, I used to get the Jose Cuervo from Costco, but it always left me with a bit of a headache. I've been using "1800" and really like it.
i'm going to crash one of your happy hours. hehe. :P
For some reason, I just can't get into the taste of tequila… but your photos make me think maybe I should give it another go :)
