Friday Flashback

One of the fun things about this past weekend with my family is that my sister gave me a file of pictures and memorabilia that my mom had kept with her while she lived her last years with Barb in Maryland.

I took the opportunity to scan a couple of pics of my not-yet-mispent youth this morning.   I'm sure there will be more later — though  I must say that the hair, fashion, and eyewear choices of my pre-teen and teenage years were — errr — unfortunate.

  1. Isn't it wonderful to have the old photos of yourself, and to be able to upload them to the computer! Looks like you were really enjoying that chalkboard desk! :)

  2. Oh yeah – can't wait to see more pictures of your childhood! I can really see the you of today in that top one. Isn't it funny how we change so much but yet really don't?
I vaguely remember having a chalkboard desk similar to yours.

  3. So cute! Love the duckfeet pajamas. I looked back on my pre-teen photos recently, and eeeesh! Bowl hair cut, oversized boys clothes… it was bad. Ah well.

  4. I'm surprised your not a deranged serial killer, after all you had not only a toy pistol but also some sort of automatic weapon to play with. I'm kidding of course. A couple of years ago I went in Toys R US to buy some toy guns and I was told they don't sell toy guns anymore. I feel sorry for kids now, no more cops and robbers, how sad.

  5. Great photos Steve!! I love coming across old family photos…my mom recently brought me a huge stash of early childhood pics…and I think you inspired me to scan a few and share them. Great memories!
