Penny got to have an extra treat for her birthday. Turns out the folks of her best friend Roxy the Vizsla were going away and so we got to dog-sit. So of course that meant that there had to be a birthday party – complete with treats and hats and lots of playing.
Someone was quite the birthday princess.
And it must have been a heck of a party, because by the end of the night I had a strange dog in my lap.
Of course, the following day, the gal-pals were a little tuckered out and did what all SoCal girls do when they’ve partied a little too much – they laid back and soaked up the sun.

What a happy occasion! Give Penny a belated birthday hug from a fellow pet lover. I've got my new canine companion search narrowed down to two wonderful rescue girls. One is a lovely white toy poodle and the other is a personality plus caramel colored doxie-basset. Decisions, decisions!
