Friday Drabble: High Sierra Pointer

A few weeks ago, Ross started the Friday Drabble – a drabble being a very short story of exactly 100 words.  Feel free to join in and write your own 100 word stories on Fridays, and tag them with “friday drabble”.  Link to them in the comments here, or on Twitter with the hashtag #fridaydrabble.  Go on, give it a try.

High Sierra Pointer

“Uh oh”, thought Penny, “She’s got her suitcase out.”
A slight whimper escaped before she realized it.  A suitcase meant that someone was leaving and The Pack wasn’t going to be together.
“Oh no! Now The Boy was bringing out his suitcase, too!” That called for serious nibbling of the fur on her leg, which was a lot better than thinking about them both leaving.  Wait.  The Boy was talking…
“See Air Ah” it sounded like.  Who or what was that?
“Oh… oh!  Now, he’s filling a bag with my food, my bowl and my long leash!”

“PACK ROAD TRIP!”
*******
Have a great weekend, everyone!!!

  1. A friend and I have been doing something like this for a while and find it great fun. We've been doing it as a continuous story. I recommend this to anyone who thought they couldn't write.

  2. Beautiful story and beautiful picture! How did you get into Penny's mind
and find out what she was thinking :) (It looks like she has written
    the story).
