Blogshorts, Day 19

This one goes out to my dad who always made me feel like I could do anything.

Two Wheels

Running beside me, one hand still holding on, you say,

“Are you ready?  You can do it!”

“Yeah!” I holler more confidently than I feel.

You let me go, cheering.

  1. *Sniffle* I’m not a Dad but I did this with my daughter when she got her first tricycle. It’s an amazing experience up to and including their first scrapped knee.

  2. This is awesome. Yesterday, I took the training wheels off my youngest’s bike and let go. She was so excited. I am sure you have made your dad proud, Steve. He was right, you can do it.

  3. Yaaay for Dad’s!!!! I admit, I never had this experience, as I never really learnt to ride a bike, but I did get to learn to run the hill drill with my Dad….a similarly fun but painful experience!
